On a road trip through Prince Edward county we had dinner at Blumen Garden Bistro. We had excellent meals of duck magret and lamb. The service was excellent and the noise level was below 60db so very good for cross-table conversation. The tables are on 6 ft centres so you have some privacy from the other diners. We had the local wines which added to the atmosphere. We will return when next in the area

The food was fantastic, compliments to the chef! I ordered a special not typically on the menu, pork tenderloin cooked per chef's recommendation with green beans, spaetzele with a buttery bourginion, and kholrabi coleslaw. Everything was excellent. Booking here can be difficult, it seems to be a very popular spot so give yourself time to get a spot and book a few days in advance.

The service was really great and the food is delicious. You regularly require a reservation (well in advance) especially during the weekend of the high season. We ordered the beef tar tar, chick pea fries, rabbit gnocchi (we both got that), creme brulee, white chocolate mouse brownie. Plus a glass of wine and one cocktail. The food was really delicious. The tar tar was the best I've ever had (made to order and very flavourful) and the chick pea fries were unique. The rabbit gnocchi was good but quite rich. Both desserts were delicious. Total before tip was $114, which is really reasonable considering the quality of the food. There's an outdoor patio which is nice during the summer.

My partner and I went here on our last visit to PEC. We both had to agree it was by far the best meal we've had in the county (and we've been to all the key restaurants). The meals we ordered were creative, local and, best of all, delicious. Not to mention good sized portions. On top of all this we got outstanding service from the serving staff there. We'll definitely visit again next time we're in town.
