Tugged away at the corner of the mall. At first glance, you may think you traveled back to the 80s, suggested by the decore. But don't turn away because of that. Cozy place with friendly waitress (not sure why others have bad experiences with the service). We always go on Sunday mornings... and never had any issue. Great fish and chips. Batter done just right, very crispy and not heavy, with fish that is moist inside. Piping hot when arrived at the table. We always ordered another one with salad as 2 sides of chips always turned out to be too much for us. Check out the special menu on the chalk board at the far end! We had the cinnamon French toast this time. My husband thinks it's very good, while I think it could use a bit more cinnamon. Hidden gem in RH. Great value. So far we like everything we tried, except the tea and the prepackaged tartar but then again, that's minor and very understandable given what the restaurant's focus is and the price point. Will go back again.

It’s a classic cozy place, not very fancy restaurant. I’ve been passing by this plaza everyday on the way home and always smell the aroma of the deep fried; that’s how got me interested to come in and try it on a day off. I ordered the Fish and Onion Ring, the fish and onion ring were thick cut, the batter was very crispy, and the fish is very fresh!!! I will comeback for sure. There are also some family all day breakfast menu as well if you are not a fish and chips fans.

Just had the fish n chips. Great dinner. Crazy busy on Good Friday but worth the wait.

My husband and I visited on Sunday for lunch. We love our fish and chips, being from Great Britain, and have tried out most in the area. The good points = the halibut and chips were perfectly cooked and the chips HAND CUT, which is really unusual :) The not so good points = the price (more expensive than comparable restaurants around like Halibut House and Amy's), the menu (it's extensive enough but we would have prefered haddock and chips, yet that was not on the printed menu. If you look around the room afterwards, the noticeboard where the food is being made and a blackboard had haddock there, but you're not really looking at that when you are given a menu. There was real HP sauce, a bonus, but a very poor choice of drinks (I wanted Fanta but they didn't stock it, so had to have a diet coke and my husband just made do with the free water). The decor is old and some of the seats were ripped. Having said that, the food was delicious, too large a portion of chips to eat, but you would want to go back and try the other things on the menu as well, such as breakfast and Greek fare. Yes, the outside looks very tiny, modest and quiet, but inside is warm, plenty of seats and decent service.

Came for lunch. I ordered a cheese burger & fries. Nice homemade burger, and the fries were good. Service was quick and friendly. Decent lunch experience. Room needs a refresh..... very old school. Next time I'll try the halibut. J.
