My friend and I had lunch on Saturday April 21 at 1 pm. We ordered the coconut calamari, hot spinach & artichoke dip and two roasted field mushroom gemelli pasta. We ended up taking most of our pasta dishes home because we were full from the appetizers. To my surprise later when I was home, there was a piece of steel wool in my pasta dish. Luckily, I did not eat the remainder of my dish. However, my friend did and became extremely sick. I immediately called Milestones and spoke with the manager. The manager was dismissive at first, apologized and then placed blame on the food suppliers. I was offered a gift card. I ended up going back to Milestones and requested a refund. I did not want a gift card or food to be re-prepared as I did not want to take changes with their food. The manager guaranteed she would contact me after she spoke with all the suppliers. I ended up filing a complaint with Durham Region Health Inspections which was extremely prompt. Not only did I receive a call within 24 hours, the inspection was conducted within 48 hours and a follow up call advising that the steel wool was likely from the restaurant.  I filed a complaint with Cara on April 30/18. I have yet to hear from Cara and the Milestones manager. The lack of responsiveness from Milestones and Cara foods is unacceptable and this is a serious matter.

I have been to this location a few times before and had a good time. But last night was horrible!! the waitress was very slow and not pleasant to deal with. Both my girlfriend and I had the Grilled Sirloin w/ garlic mashed potatoes and both steaks were over cooked, the potatoes undercooked and there was nothing garlic about them. also, finding out on the bill that the mushrooms that the waitress asked if I would like with my steak was an extra $6 was unbelievable. all in all $130.00 bucks not very well wasted. thank you from one displeased customer.

I like this place. I can't say that I've ever had a bad meal here and find that the prices are good value for money. I like the new decor, staff are always appropriate and never have to wait too long for the food to get to the table. For me, I know that I can rely on getting a good meal here and I don't have the inconvenience of having to go to one of Toronto's higher end restaurants, pay for parking and then have a long drive home.

Attended for lunch was not busy but the service was extremely slow, took for ever for the meal and refills. When food arrived portions were extremely small six other and Myself were disgusted with the high prices and the small amount of mediocre food.

Went there to celebrate a birthday and experienced a couple little issues. They were extremely busy so it’s understandable. Unfortunately I can’t remember the gentleman’s name serving us, but he was fantastic and tried very hard remedy the issues from the kitchen. The manager Ben took it upon himself to come talk to us, was extremely nice, and adjusted the bill to make up for our troubles. I would definitely go back, and recommend Milestones to a friend. Well done guys! And thank you!
