As usual food was great. If you ask for the house special steak you will not regret it. Nice and juicy and it always has the same texture and flavour. Great job to the cook.

The service is consistently terrible.. we get invited here every year by a family friend (who makes reservations well in advance) And we still had to wait over an hour to be seated (not once did they acknowledge us standing in the doorway waiting) in addition to another 45 minutes just to be asked if we would like a beverage after being seated. The owner was terribly rude and didn't care that we were all obviously upset. He still made us wait another 30 minutes to order even after we told him we were ready to order. Once the food arrived, he forgot 2 dishes and stated "this is why I hate serving large groups". To top it all off, we found hair in one of the plates which we didn't acknowledge because we didn't want to make our friends feel worse for inviting us here. To top it off, they didn't apologize once for our terrible experience, they didn't compensate even a dessert for our experience and still auto charged us an automatic 18 percent gratuity on what I estimated to be a $400 bill. They should be absolutely embarrassed and ashamed to charge 18% for a "service" that they didn't provide. Total time spent in this hell was just over 3 hours. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

This place is a family favorite for Portuguese food. The portions are large and the dishes well-prepared. Service is friendly, and I appreciate that they don't rush us. I enjoy the caldo verde (potato kale) soup, but it's not always the soup of the day. The menu is modest, but with a good variety of choices. This place can get busy, so we usually make a reservation. The upscale prices don't match the family-style decor - especially with the televisions playing Portuguese shows. Also, several time I have been disappointed when my favorite seafood dishes are not available. When I cannot eat all of my large dish, I am happy to take home leftovers.

I hate coming to this restaurant, every year I get invited by my family I dread coming here because the service here is the worst I've seen in the industry: here is why, every time I've gone here something is always wrong, my food is cold, it's overcooked, or it's just simply forgotten. From the time you get there until you get your food in front of you at minimum you wait 2 hours all the time. Today was the finally straw I had a very simple order of chicken breast with a side of rice, and his excuse for forgetting my order was that he hates serving large groups... great excuse, if you can't do the job because you got alot on your plate as an owner stop being so CHEAP and hire experienced waiters/waitresses, $15/hr really can't make it break you if you have a busy restaurant or can it?? After being there for 3 hours they still had the balls to put a 18% gratuity which wasn't deserved but is industry standard on a group of 6 or more which is understandable. The best part was they didn't compensate for the 2 dishes forgotten but had the audacity to say but you guys ate the food right. Buddy when you forget 2 dishes and have been waiting for over 2 hours you compensate those people with something, IT'S WHAT EVERYONE IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY DOES, MAYBE YOU SHOULD LEAVE THAT SHOE BOX OF A RESTAURANT ONCE IN AWHILE AND SEE WHAT REAL SERVICE IS AT ANY OTHER RESTAURANT!! WILL never go back, will never recommend to anyone! Would give a negative rating if possible. Love that the "owner" posts negative responses on here knowing he's in the wrong and then takes them off. 👍
