Have walked by the Marriott on Bloor (just east of Yonge and the Bay store) millions of times and never even knew about Matisse Restaurant inside. Well-located with tasty dishes on the menu and good service. Great spot if you don't like a loud, crowded restaurant with your neighbours able to hear your conversation. Somewhat of a formal style but servers are super friendly and food is great.

Nice variety of food. The salmon was excellent...nicely cooked, as medium rare. The only bad aspect was the Quinoia looked like it had been cooking for a day...far too water logged. The service was excellent. Good if you want to go and have a business meeting...quiet enough so you can talk.

Hold on tight: a mediocre salad costs $17 but if you want to add chicken to it then add an extra $15 dollars to it. Absolutely outrageous for a tasteless salad.

Quiet place for Sunday brunch. Nicely varied menu. Friendly service.

The food was good but the service was absolutely horrible and the atmosphere was alright at best. It was literally in the lobby of the Marriott without even a door to separate it from the Marriott. Iguess if I were staying at the Marriott, then it would make sense but as a Torontonian, I feel like there are so many better restaurants in the Yorkville area that I would rather go to.
