Fantastic cottages and view. Peace and quiet. Lovely place.

A charming country estate, located right off the water. Rolling fields spread out in all directions. Food is wonderful as well. A historic building, they might not have the latest bells and whistles, but who needs a flat screen when you have amazing grounds to explore?

A bit tired and living on its reputation. Bedroom needed renovating. Bathroom tap dripped and shower fitting was loose. No coffee or tea making facilities in the room. No fridge or safe either. Bedroom furniture of a poor quality. Breakfast was good. Public rooms had money spent on them so were ok. Need to do the same with the bedroom.

There was a mistake with the booking. I found most of the staff especially but not limited to the front desk to just not care. They were kind enough to store some of my food in there fridge ( I thought I had a a cabin with kitchen and did not, they also mrssed up my days) but lost a few things that I needed for my next cabin rental that did have a kitchen. I put my kids in the kids night that cost money. They were highly dissapointed. The girls doing the job were in no way outgoing or really good with kids. I was also charged separately for there meal that kids night which I was told was included in the price for the event. My kids did not have a choice it was fish and chips for everyone. They did not love the food. The grounds are beautiful and it is so close to Brackley Beach and the Dunes that we really enjoyed our time there.

Friendly staff. Walk to beach. Bike and kayak rentals on site. Laundry. Still an extremely well run family business for over 150 yrs.
