Excellent food and outstanding service! We went there for breakfast for the first time after so many people recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Our waitress is the type of person you wish worked at every restaurant. I wish I took down her name to post how awesome she was. Next time for sure.

Very nice place to have any meal of the day a specially when you are serviced by Shone, truly professional, putting his heart to what he does. His attention to each and everyone exceptional. I hope to see more like him in restaurant business.

Omg! This is my absolute favorite restaurant! They call it "My Rail"! The food is fantastic. Very affordable The desserts are to die for. Reservations are easily made. I seriously recommend making them for Friday to Sunday, day or evening as it is always packed.

So the first thing that you should know before you go is that this is a restaurant connected to a poker casino. What that means for the casual diner is that you will realize that you're sitting in a room that has no windows and it's quite dark overall. I won't go into the reasons why they do this but it is something that they do. The food itself that I had there namely breakfasts are a pretty good value, especially in light of the fact that there are no taxes added on to the top of price of your meal. Despite being a good value I wouldn't call the breakfast extraordinary in any way. The sausages they serve aren't particularly tasty. I like my eggs scrambled but they don't know how to do that there, they just pour eggs on to the griddle and wait til it's cooked and then chop it up with the side of their spatula resulting in rather rubbery unpleasant to eat eggs. Having gone to cooking school I assure you that these are not scrambled eggs if I had produced those during my course I would have been failed for them. They should be light and fluffy without any sign of browning. I don't know if they're home fries are actually homemade or not I'm not particular about them they're perhaps a little too crispy more like a tater tot. They also revamped the menu which used to be more extensive, which I generally don't disagree with, but I think that they may have removed too many items. But I still think there's enough choice for most people. The restaurant really is designed more for the patrons of the poker palace then the general public. Personally next time my wife suggests The Rail I think I'm going to bow out. One of the best breakfasts you can have in Montreal is a LBP in NDG, if The Rail can figure out how to produce something similar I might go back. As for their other meals I'm going to go out on a limb and say probably some what similar good value middle of the road food that isn't anything to write home about.

Great food Everytime! The vegetarian options are yummy but few. If they could add a some more options that would be phenomenal.
