UNSANITARY AND TERRIBLE SERVICE!!
I work 10 mins away for this Amir so we tend to go once or twice a week for lunch. We are a group of at least 6 colleagues that have been going to this place weekly for at least the past 6 to 7 years. Food is decent and service used to be good until my last experience. I went couple of weeks ago and ordered my standard Shish-Taouk plate. When I got to the cash the cashier was placing the pita with his bare hand while handling the cash at the same time. One of the senior employees serving plates noticed and asked him to use tongs instead which has always been the case. So i asked the cashier politely to replace the pita that he had just placed with his hand on my plate. I guess he was offended and he threw it out and dumped a new pita and told me in a sarcastic way "Don't be sad". Unable to comprehend his abrupt and disrespectful gestures and behavior, i was looking at him in shock. He continued the insult by telling me that I do not own him by buying a plate at this store and if i want i can take my plate otherwise its my choice and i can leave it. Having my colleagues there and the fact that they had already paid for their plates, also not able to process what just happened, i took my plate and sat down in complete disbelief. Not able to swallow my bite, i went back to speak to a senior employee that i have seen numerous times and I was down played as its not a big deal. After all the years that i have given this store business, i was totally disappointed with the service and attitude that i received from a new employee that has no respect to customers nor to the business he is working for. I boycotted the place for few weeks and today with my colleagues we decided to go their to ask for the owner to share my experience in hope they will acknowledge and ensure such behavior does not happen again. The same employee that was disrespectful the previous visit was there and he recognized me. Before ordering, I asked if he was the owner, he said no and said that i spoke to the owner last time and reiterated what he had told me the previous time; basically, i am welcome if i want to eat otherwise i can go somewhere else. This goes above and beyond any terrible service i have ever received. If I can give this place a zero for review, i would. This time i turned around with my colleagues and left the place. I will never step a foot in that place. I will make sure that every colleagues here knows the service level and ensure that they will not eat at this location. I hope Amir owners take this review seriously. Its the responsibility of the owners to hire and train employees to be willing to service customers politely. Also, if a customer gets disrespected, the least the owner can do is listen to the customer and have a talk with their employee and teach them how to deal with customers, not approve their disrespectful behavior by telling the customer its not a big deal!!
