There isn't much choice in this area, so for the price it's ok. The room was nice, the pillows and linen are good. The bed was hard and if there is anything going on outside you will hear it. The staff was nice and the restaurant attached was really good.

Stayed here on a snowmobile trip, booked and paid for a room comfort and ended up getting a room classic with no refund for the difference and also no hot water in the morning. Breakfast could also use more options. Horrible customer service across the board from the front counter. Would not stay here again.

Giving a four star rating for customer service and excellent food in dining room! Customer service was excellent. My grandson forgot an item in the room. I called and the item was quickly shipped via bus and we received it when we got home! Thank you for that! The room was clean, but small. Renovated but also small bathroom. No air conditioning! The dinning room food was excellent though!!

Historical location, awesome friendly staff and great food. The decor is nice with photos all around.

We arrived at Auberge le Caribou at about 5 pm on a Monday. We were first in line but waited more than 10 minutes for service. The guy behind the counter—an older, balding man with a menacing wrist bracelet tattoo—seemed content to let us wait. There were eight or nine people in line before he started to process people. The room was tastefully redone after an evidently long period as a run-down motel. You could still smell the pre-reno smoke, although it was more subtle than overpowering. You could also easily hear your neighbours. The bed was surprisingly comfortable but the room lacked plugins. The shower was built for people no taller than 5'6". I'm 6'3" and the water hit my lower chest. The water pressure was barely adequate. We did not experience the bar noise others reviewers have reported. If you're in the Gaspesie, look for something else but this will work in a pinch.
