Compared to my last visit, quite a few items disappeared from the menu. More like the "usual" sushi place / Japanese restaurant. As for most Japanese restaurant in Canada, we are not in the realm of real authentic Japanese food. This being said, the food is good, and the service okay as I think they were not expecting a group of 12 on a Wednesday night. Everyone enjoyed the food. I must say that my own choice (The Emperor's Plate) was a bit overpriced compared to other items from the menu.

Wasabi offers you a commitment to sushi, service, and ambiance far beyond any other restaurant in the market. The mood is perfect for those looking to have long conversations with close friends, or to simply sit by a widow to watch people make their way around the city. It’s perfectly located to give you equal access to all the sights and sounds the downtown core has to offer. And if you’ve got time to spare, make sure you speak to the owner. You won’t regret hearing the stories he loves to share.

It is a nice place, but the service is unusually slow. The waitress we nice. I was kind off shocked with the quantity of onions in my food. I ordered a noodle dish. But I finally removed as many onions as I could and it was probably equivalent to half of the dish But it tasted good.

The food was ok if a little pricey. But we never got our bills after 30+ minutes of waiting. We had to flag down another waitress to ask for it.

I've been here before and have never had any issues with Wasabi. The food is fresh and really well presented. I have had both the à la carte and pre-determined menu items without a hitch. This time, the service was a little less desirable. We constantly had to ask for refills of our water and the waitress only came by once to ask how we were doing the whole time we were there. Not that it was busy, we were one of only a handful of customers at the time. The Su-sa-ma (sushi, sashimi, maki) was really tasty. I would have like to have seen a larger variety of fish on it, they seemed to repeat the same fish for the sashimi as they had for the maki. Overall, a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. I will be returning.
