The food is mediocre at its best. Four of us tried pasta so we couldn't really speak for the pizzas. The lasagne doesn't taste like it's fresh made, and it is really savoury. The plates came out super hot which made us also wonder if the food is just microwaved. Overall, the food does not taste good at all and it's not worth the price. However, service is good though.

Great service but they rush you to turn the table over. At $120 for dinner for two, we shouldn’t be herded like cattle...in and out in 30 mins. The carbonara was great, spinach and cheese ravioli was just okay. Note that the sparkling water that they offer you is $8...and it’s just plain old San Pellegrino.

Decent food with large portions (couldn't finish my plate). There is something on the menu to make everyone happy. They could offer a better quality menu for the Children though. Kids also appreciate fine cuisine. I would go again but will not order from the kids' menu again. Quality is more important than quality.

The worst place in Qubec city, just an Italian Fast food!!! Last Saturday, May 26, I wanted to celebrate with my partner our last night in this beautiful city and I made the reservation at Portofino Restaurant in Old Quebec. I asked for a quite place for a romantic diner. When we arrived, they placed us in the entry section of the restaurant where everyone is passing. But we say, it is a Saturday in Quebec city it is a little difficult to find a quite place. The server came in question of one minute asking what we want to order and pushing to ordering fast. I start to realize that the strategy of that place is to make people eat fast to move other customer inside. They spend a lot of money in advertisement because you will find them in all tourist guides in your hotel in Quebec, however it is not real what they announce. We asked for an aperitif "Pineau de Charantes" and the server did not ask us if we wanted it with or without ice and we have that like a whisky when we prefer without. I returned them and what they did just move the liquid to another glass and bringing our watering aperitif. Just to save some money!!! We order an entree, calamari and I can tell you, tasteless!!! In a meanwhile they kept the main entry door open and all couples placed in that area were suffering of a cold air coming from outside. Most everyone was asking to close the door. Main dish: They claim to be an authentic Italian Pizza, What a shame, I can tell you, without doubt, my pizza that I pick at supermarket is better than them. The music was laud impossible to maintain a conversation and you have those server asking constantly if you want to order more wine, or food. A shame for Quebec, a city with the most high end restaurants in Canada, but this one is the worst.
