On a cold night, determined not to give into the temptation of ordering in, I was looking for nearby options. While exploring the neighbourhood over a stroll entered the mall & reached out to the top floor to discover Palomino. Due to a private event, a section of the restaurant was reserved & not accessible. However we were seated in the wide & open bar area. We quickly placed our drinks & dinner order from the happy hours menu. We ordered Matchstick Truffle Fries, & a Fresh Romano tomatoes & mozzarella pizza with an extra topping of rotisserie chicken. Our order arrived quickly, the truffle fries were simply awesome, in fact the best I had in Seattle so far. Loved the pizza which has a very generous helping of the tomatoes, & the chicken was great but limited. The flavour was mild & strong at the same time, was too heavy for two people. They had a huge offering on mains, it will take a couple more visits to do justice & explore their vast menu. Service was very attentive & fast, considering they catering to a large private event the same night. With more cold nights expected, we are definitely going to visit nearby options like Palomino, more.

Got drinks and some happy hour food. The whole place felt nice and really busy but I couldn’t shake the feeling that it was a Olive Garden but a little fancier. That’s my personal opinion though. Waitstaff was kind and attentive even though it was a full house during happy hour. Very much a business crowd. Would recommend going for happy hour though, good drinks at reasonable city prices, and plenty of options to have for food.

Palomino has been around for forever, and it one of the few restaurants which have discovered a way to maintain a quality experience despite staff turnover that is just the nature of the food industry. The food and service are dependably good, and there really is something for everyone - even a picky gluten-free vegan like me. It's a great place for a date or business lunch/dinner because the acoustics let you actually hear your companions. Ambiance is sleek modern, seating is comfortable, and the downtown location can't be beat. If you haven't tried it, try it. The only reason I took a star off is because it is great, but not mind-blowing great in all the aforementioned aspects. And with an ever-increasing vegetarian customer base, I would hope for a separate vegetarian/vegan menu for people to work off of, rather than the hunt-and-replace they currently offer.

I love Palamino for a downtown happy hour destination. A group went there this week for a retirement party. The food was good and the staff responded quickly when more people kept showing up, taking drink orders. They managed the multiple checks as well. Pleasant atmosphere, tasty happy hour menu, good selection of drinks, good service.

My fiance and I dined here for Valentine's day. The food was incredible and the server was very good. Atmosphere was nice despite people taking pictures with flash (it WAS Valentine's day after all). A few downsides: the kitchen did not relay they had run out of the pork special to our server and as a result I had to change my order and it took longer. A server dropped some trays while walking by our table. And the biggest black mark is that at 9:45 a company came in to polish the marble tables. 9:45 on Valentine's day. The server apologized and told us it was a yearly thing. They couldn't have done it the day before? Wine pairing was very good, quality of food was great. A few managerial issues, but still great.
