This is a true hidden local gem. I don't like posting this review because it would be nice to keep this place a secret for just the hometown folks, but it has been discovered already, and would be a shame not to share with the rest of you. It is a small place, not very fancy, with the kitchen separated by a half wall from the dining area. It is usually full of people talking, so not a quiet environment, which is part of the charm. The wait staff is charming as well. The food is consistently wonderful, using top notch ingredients. ....all along the pasta, pizza, sandwich , salad line . To my knowledge there are no fried foods, however that could be wrong. I mean no fried chicken, etc type food. Check out the daily lunch special.until 2pm a different pasta each day that includes your beverage. This is our favorite restaurant, by far in the area.

We ate here for the first time and the food was excellent! The prices aren't bad either. The authenticity of the dishes was evident. We had salad, soup pizza and pasta. We will definitely be back. Kudos to the chef.

From traveling from Florida to Alabama we ate at several supposed higher quality restaurants only to be disappointed. We ate at Portabella's and we were very pleased. The pizza was exceptional the crust tasted much better than other pizzas. The pasta and sauce was tasty as well, salads and soups so good. Soups homemade, salads fresh with homemade dressings. Give this restaurant a try it's worth it. Sincerely Dr. Bonnie

We like looking for good restaurants when we are traveling and stumbled on Portabella's. It was super good. A quiet atmosphere, quick service and the food was outstanding! I highly recommend the Artichoke stuffed Portobello mushroom appetizer. We will definitely come back here when we are visiting.

The food is good however for Italian food and pizza it is pricey, cute little hole in the wall.
