Excellent service and food. Had the prime rib steak. Had the smoked chicken wings as take out. Turned out the smoked chicken wings was better. Highly recommended whatever you order will be an excellent choice. Give them a try if you have not already.

BBQ, Catfish, Chicken Tenders, etc. All the makings of a great southern BBQ joint. The early 1900's feel of the dining room and attire of the host staff adds to the charm. The bar has a full top shelf liquor selection and local beers draught. My family and I love it!

This place is hit or miss and you really have to go a few times to learn what to order that passes the good vs. costs test. Some of their food is great but just too expensive. Other items are cheaper and you don't get much portion-wise so that doesn't work either. We've found what works for us good, portion, and cost so we go here occasionally and for the most part it's all good. There is an issue with the overhead vents thought that needs to be addressed. Sure, the open duct work and vents look cool but also blow air right on people and their food. I'm not interested in paying for hot and fresh food only to have it air cooled when brought to the table. There are a couple of additional issue with the inconsistency with bringing out the little cheddar biscuits. There have been times I've asked for them and they never come. Lastly, one of the waiters has a tendency to "float" by and ask if you need something and if you don't immediately speak, regardless if you've got a mouthful of food, he will walk off. In fact, he never really stops walking it's like he's asking to be seen asking but not actually providing any service.

My issue for this rating has to to with the two workers seating the night of Monday December 18, 2017. We were greeted and asked if we wanted a table or booth. We said we wanted a booth and the man said "we don't have any". We could clearly see the place had plenty of booths. We looked a little stunned and he said "just kidding". Then as he seated us he started with conversation about his personal relationship status and was making more jokes that we didn't find funny. Then as we were leaving we were told by the lady up front to "please try and feel better", as if us not laughing at all of their jokes was somehow on US! Look, I am a friendly person but if I am hungry and want to eat, I go to a restaurant. If I want to laugh and be called out, I go to a comedy club. I wont be back to this place.

Just had lunch here. Best damn ribs I've ever had and the collards are the bomb. Mighty fine biscuits as well. Don't miss it.
