So happy they are opened back up! I was so upset when I seen they were closed down but they are back open and as great as ever!!! Very friendly and the food is the best Chinese Food ever! I have lived in Florida, Georgia "ATL" and Alabama and no Chinese Restaurant out of the 3 states can touch it...highly recommend start with the "hot and sour soup"! Every dish I have ever had is perfect! ((( I HAVE TO SPEAK UP! TO THE PEOPLE MAKING REMARKS ABOUT THE "CASHIER/HOST/OWNER" YES HE IS ALL THREE, HE IS WHY THEY HAD TO CLOSE DOWN FOR THREE YEARS DUE SADLY TO SERIOUS HEALTH REASONS! I KNOW WHAT THAT CAN DO IN ITSELF, I HAVE STAGE 4 CANCER MYSELF! LOOK AT PERFECT REVIEW AFTER PERFECT REVIEW, THEY SPEAK VOLUMES))) AFTER ALL PEOPLE NEED TO BE BE MORE UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT OTHERS GO THROUGH, MAYBE A LOVED ONE DIED, MAYBE THEY FOUND OUT THEY HAVE CANCER, ETC MAYBE GOING THROUGH A DIVORCE, ETC WE ALL HAVE A BAD DAY OR REAL BUSY, BIG DEAL YOU HAD TO GET UP AND GET YOU A CUP OR WATER! BE THANKFUL YOU HAVE LEGS TO WALK WITH, LIGHTEN UP AND IF YOU FEEL THAT FORMOSA DON'T GIVE ENOUGH FOOD, GO ON DOCTOR PHIL, YOU EAT TOO MUCH!!!!

Hands down the BEST Chinese food I've ever had! When they closed I literally cried, when I heard they reopened I did the same! Staff always remembers me, no matter how long in between visits it's been. My go to for MANY years!

This place has long been a favorite place to eat with my family. The staff is amazing. The food is terrific. We go there so often they know us by sight and greey us warmly.

An all time favorite in the Birmingham area with a very long history. I first ate here at the age of around 10 when they were located on the Westside. Followed them to Hoover in the 90s and still visiting to this day. Hands down the best Chinese restaurant in Birmingham.

The food is okay but the service has been terrible the last few visits. The server never came to our table between the time he brought our entrees and after we were done to bring the check. I had to ask the owner for water and after 5 minutes he hadn't come by. I had to get the water myself. I asked the server if I could substitute fried rice in place of white rice and he said sure. Normally, there is only a small charge if any. They charged five dollars for what they called a large appetizer of fried rice. I did not get any other rice with my dish. I complained to the owner about the server and the rice mistake but he wouldn't reduce my bill at all. Never again.
