My husband and I went here after a few drinks to get something to eat because it was near our hotel. It looks like it might be bigger from the outside but was the least busy restaurant we passed by so we chose it. We were seated immediately at a barre table, but there was not a big seating selection and it was quite crowded, so we sat at the bar. Looking behind the bar was kinda scary because there were cardboard boxes on the ground (roaches love cardboard) and the area was not clean. Glass on the drink/beer cooler doors was FILTHY. There was food all over the floor we stepped on a few times. I saw a couple gnats flying around, but I was starving and reminded myself that I was downtown so it was kinda expected. It was SO HOT. Like humid hot, like all the heat from the kitchen was pouring out into the restaurant. We were greeted about 10 minutes after moving to the bar by the bartender who was very sweet and very busy. She got our drinks and put in our order. We got food maybe 15 minutes later which was very fast. The food came out extremely hot! I got fried shrimp and waffle fries. The portion was very generous and worth the price. The biggest downfall was the atmosphere. It felt very dirty walking in.

The staff was friendly & engaging. The food was good and the portions were of good size. I recommend the Ahi-Ahi nachos. I wish I had gotten them as a meal instead of an appetizer. Like most restaurants in the area the dining room is rather small. The drinks were expertly mixed. I would definitely go back again.

This is actually more like a bar that serves food than a real restaurant. There's a Jamaican pirate theme with super loud music blaring out to the sidewalk tables, so we sat inside. Our server Michael was very nice, but I wasn't impressed by the food. My pulled pork entree (Poetic Pig) was served ice cold with a dreadful vinegar based bar-b-cue type sauce (also ice cold) poured over the top. Michael was nice enough to return it to the kitchen but when it came back it was still only lukewarm and they poured the same ice cold bar-b-cue sauce over it. As a bar, especially during happy hour it's probably really nice. After a few cocktails maybe I wouldn't have noticed that the food was sub-par, but as a restaurant I couldn't really give it a very good rating. I also noticed that there was no soap in the men's room. I hope the kitchen staff has their own facility.

Waiter was new, but great. Bartending staff didn't make my drink as stated on the menu, and was incredibly rude about it when confronted. Food was delicious!
