This food is fantastic. You can not go wrong with any choice. Seriously that great. The staff is extremely friendly and provide excellent service. This is a spot worth traveling for people.

O'Dessa's Blessing is hands down one of the best place that I have gone to over my trip in Alabama. My peers and I from BC went to this humble abode and we were treated amazingly. I honestly would recommend this place to anyone who wants a home cooked feel to it. I myself am a vegetarian and they were so accommodating to my struggle and fed me well and feed me great food. 10/10 would recommend

I booked this location for my daughters graduation party and the entire process was nothing but a pain! We went on a search for the best soul food in Montgomery and this place popped up on the list. Apparently, when the restaurant was open and serving food daily the dishes were pretty good. Now, they have taken their business to a full-on catering business and everything is horrible. The owner, Calvin, has no organized schedule. He overbooks giving his clients one time and then changing it at the last minute to squeeze and accommodate others in the same time slot. I was very specific about having my event self-served to keep the cost down. Then on the day of the event he tacks on a 120$ gratuity fee for people that are setting up food and taking plates from tables. All this would not have been so bad if the food was ANY good. The chicken was old (I think it was leftovers from another party earlier that day), the candied yams came right out of the can, the greens were over-salted. The entire spread was horrible. Potato salad, Mac and Cheese, Fish - ALL disgusting. Many of my guests did not even eat. DO NOT USE THEM TO CATER FOR YOU! I really wish that I would have went to Mama's B's like I wanted too.

It was truly a blessing dining here with my fellow BC peers. It was a great inclusion to my southern experience; touched my souls and spirit 🙏🏾
