Was gonna give 5 stars but the girl at the cash register was quite rude. She didn't smile, she wouldn't look at me. The waitress and hostess were awesome. I have always enjoyed coming here up until today. Not sure why she was rude. Maybe I need to reconsider bringing my family here again if customer service its going to be like this from now on. I have always enjoyed coming especially after my radiation treatments on Friday. Shame.

Great thin crust pizza. The decor hasn't aged well and it could use an update. Our server was nice but she forgot to ring in our kids pizza so they shared ours until theirs arrived. They were very finicky about where we sat despite not being busy. We feel like they should have done something about the mistake but they didn't but it's not the end of the world. We'll definitely be back, there's nothing else quite like it.

Jim Davenport's Pizza Palace has always been my favorite pizza place, since childhood. The pizza is like none other, with a crispy thin crust and perfectly proportioned toppings. We usually go with either the Jim Special, which is a combination of meat and vegetables, or just Italian Sausage and Canadian Bacon. I usually request our pizzas cooked extra crispy, as it adds to the crunchy goodness. My favorite part of Davenport's is the atmosphere, which invokes a strong sense of nostalgia for me. The wrought iron framework throughout the building, as well as the arcade games add to the experience. If you have kids when visiting, make sure to bring a handful of quarters to keep them occupied!

Really confused as to why people rave about this place. The cheese is too chewy and crust is ashy and dry. I like melty thick slices or crunchy thin slices with buttery crusts, so if you’re like me, you won’t enjoy this. However, some people in my family adore this place and their pizza.

Arguably one of the best pizza shops in Birmingham. Pizza is pricey, but it’s a great environment for families. The ability to request quarters for video games and to have that money simply added to your bill is very smart and helpful for people who do not carry cash. Service is friendly. Can be a long wait on weekend nights.
