We have been to this great restaurant several times. It is downtown so during the week days try to arrive before noon or after 2. It is a popular place to eat They have outdoor seating. The food is very good. They have these amazing green beans! All the food is awesome!

Best burger I've had in Columbus. The fries were really disappointing, just the crinkle cut fries that they pull out of a freezer. Also tried the sweet potato fries and they were good, but nothing to rave about. The hush puppies we got were the best hush puppies I've ever had.

My husband and I absolutely recommend everyone who visits Columbus GA to eat at the Black Cow!!! Great food and staff!!! Our waitress was Abigail C and hands down the best server we have experienced in a long time!!!! We're are out of State and she gave us advise on things to check out in Columbus and it was a pleasure meeting her, very nice young woman!!! Your lucky to have her in your staff and representing your Restaurant!!! Highly recommend the Black Cow!!!!!

Great atmosphere! Our waitress was delightful and courteous. Food was amazing.. the chicken and waffles were to die for. If you like southern cooked comfort food this is the place for you. Can't wait to go back!

Whatever you're serving, I'll take mine with a side dish of accident liability! I was told by locals that this was a cool, eclectic, rustic little gem with a great menu based on traditional Southern cuisine, but with a few creative twists! Very much looking forward to my dinner, I brought along my parents and my two kids. My dad walks with a cane and has a pacemaker, so we usually take things pretty slowly. Upon arrival, we were shown to a table covered with pieces food surrounded by seating covered with bits of food under which a lot of food, water puddles, used napkins, and yes, even utensils were to be found. When I asked the hostess if someone would be cleaning up before we were seated, she replied, "That's the problem of the servers, not mine." I let her know that we couldn't sit down in so much food, and my dad wasn't able to wait to be seated for a long time. She just shrugged and walked away. I then proceeded to the back of the restaurant to ask for help where I saw a number a servers who seemed to be socializing near the kitchen. When no one could identify the server for our table, I just said, "It's ok, if you give me a wet kitchen cloth, I'll just do it - no problem." Honestly, I was willing to do anything to help my family (especially my dad) get seated. I could go on, but what's the point? Would it be that much worse if I mentioned that much of our hot food was served cold? Service was rendered in an unfriendly way (considerable eye rolling)? That in an effort to keep my dad from slipping and falling in all the grated cheese, used lemon wedges, wet puddles, and soggy napkins, I had to get down on my hands and knees and clean under the table before we could sit? The real shock is that I called the restaurant multiple times to interface with management regarding our visit, and after many months I have made no progress. Need more be said?
