Best event venue in town, love the wide variety they offer but especially appreciate their support of the EDM scene - one of like 2 or 3 places that does. The only reason I knocked this place down a star is 1. It can get far too packed for the space 2. A couple poor bartender experiences (definitely the exception, not the rule though) 3. Drinks tend to be on the weaker side. Also, would love to see new cider options, especially on tap!

This is my favorite bar in anchorage. They have a venue downstairs that brings in a bunch of great music at night and hosts farmers markets and other community stuff during the day. Plus they have a cool an upstairs with a hip speakeasy vibe, and a rooftop bar. Also right next door to a great pizza place.

This review is only for the rooftop. I was here late afternoon/early evening in September 2015, while they were still building out the inside. First, the roof is gorgeous; I loved the decor, the views, and the heaters. I had a boozy iced coffee, which came in a glass jar and really hit the spot. For dinner, I selected the ribs, which came with a side salad and baked beans. Altogether, it was a great evening and I could really see this being the spot to be when the weather is nice. My server was super friendly and attentive. This also appears to be a pet friendly venue.

Nice Relaxed atmosphere with a laid back fun vibe. Prohibition-era style hide-away bar makes for a great excuse to get dressed up and enjoy an exotic cocktail.

Unfortunately, I always end up here when in Anchorage because for some reason my friends love it. I've never enjoyed myself at Williwaw. It's always so, so loud. Like, unable to have a conversation loud. Service takes forever and finding a table is impossible. I've never had the food because I've heard it's pretty awful, as well as overpriced. There are so many wonderful places in Anchorage, pass on Williwaw, you're not missing anything.
