I had brunch today at The Dutch with my brother. I've been there before, this was his first time. We started with some of the better coffee either of us have had. I ordered the special, chicken salad sandwich. It was delicious with a healthy portion of meat, grapes, pecans etc..and came with a fresh fruit bowl that contained orange slices, pineapple, blueberries and pomegranate. My brother ordered the 4 egg crab omelet which he said was incredible. It came with toast and he also ordered a side of roasted potatoes. For $12 it was a huge meal. He took half home for later. Executive Chef Marcus stopped by our table to see how we were doing! Our server, Amber was wonderful and attentive... plus she kept our coffee cups full. The vibe is fun, casual and trendy. The Dutch did not disappoint!

I've dined here before and was very pleased, so this is definitely shocking to me. I'm not too picky. I actually don't think I've complained at any restaurant ever... Our waitress not only took nearly 20 minutes to even get to us in the first place, but she was not to be seen basically the entire hour and a half we were there. She only gave us one thing of water, didn't even attempt to bring more during our entire hour we were there, never offered to turn on the heater outside, and never even asked if we were enjoying our food until half an hour into our meals. Part of my meal was burnt, so I had asked for it to be sent back, assuming that meant I'd get a new one. I did tell her the rest was fine, but I said that because I felt bad, but once I realized how poorly we were being taken care of, I had told her the whole meal wasn't how it usually is, and was hoping for a refund or at least part of the meal back. There was some confusion, and my request seemed to puzzle her an awful amount, so I decided to stop asking about it. It's her job to please the customer, so I thought it was strange that she acted so put upon. I could see her through the window assisting other tables, so I found it kinda odd that she never made it to our table! She seemed quite eager to assist the customers inside, though. All of those guests were above the age of 40, so I'm sure she was just prioritizing helping the older, more sophisticated folk over three 22 year olds. Overall, the food wasn't really the problem, but the service was beyond awful. I would definitely like to come back to eat here, but I will have to make sure to not be served by the same person next time.

Great job with 8 of us. Everyone loved their entree. Delicious salad, duck & apple pie. Thank you

Terrible service and the food wasn’t anything special. They make a terrible Cosmo. Too many great places nearby to bother with this restaurant.

Even though they were extremely busy, our server was attentive. The food was great. We'll go again
