Good food, I had the country fried tofu and mashed potatoes, bloody Mary and a buttermilk pie for dessert. The tofu was good and the pie was excellent. The bloody Mary was ok. I went with friends and had a nice time in the the easy going environment. The waiter was very nice and answered all questions easily. I would definitely eat here again.

Great breakfast. Fresh ingredients. Tasty healthy twists added to old favorites. And a nice outdoor area for beautiful days!

This restaurant is very committed to local sourcing as well as fresh food. It is a great place to take your children and eat. There are a lot of mostly locals who eat here. I am including myself in that. They are active in the community and have helped anchor the south on Main area. They have added space using what looks to be an old container that they have made into a wonderful space. They also have a little outdoor area so when it is nice you can sit outside and the children can roam a little bit. They are right next to the person Museum and on the street from South on Main.

Wow! Just wow! Had the most delicious omelet and biscuit with gravy with my BFF- I had the fresh squeezed OJ and she had the cardamom iced coffee! Funky little joint with amazing service and delicious, locally sourced food. Do yourself a favor and just go! (Expect it to be busy- and know it is worth the wait!)

Just passing through town and decided to hit this place for coffee and WiFi and ended up having two meals. Both meals were excellent and superbly fresh. The atmosphere was super fun and creative. If I ever come back through Little Rock I’ll come to the Root for sure!
