This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Magnolia to eat at. The food is really good and the service is friendly. Jackie the owner is really nice.

The food was really good. The service was excellent. If you are one of those people who don't usually get desert because you don't have room for it. You are in luck with El Compare the portions are small enough that you are sure to have a little space left. Fortunately the prices are not too large either. That's why I gave it 5 stars.

The food is always excellent. I recommend the molcajete.

Very good and friendly staff. Ive only had one issue... I went and ordered a chicken salad and instead of getting chicken strips cut up on top of my salad, I got some gross chicken nuggets cut in half on top of it. Smh when the staff couldve simply said they ran out of chicken strips would I like to order something else.

It's a shame that Cancun is more popular and is in a better location because El Compadre is superior. It's hands down the best Mexican restaurant in town. Great service. Fair prices. Great food with good portions. Always tastes fresh and well seasoned. If you prefer bland, unseasoned food that tastes like it was plopped out of a can, go to Cancun.
