This was my first visit to Bubbie's and I wasn't overly impressed with the food. The onion rings we're overbattered and cooked beyond redemption. And while the shrimp po'boy with blackened shrimp was good, it wasn't special. The online menu I looked at before entering said the had seafood gumbo and other favorites, which drew me in to begin with, but they did not. The service was excellent, so I'll reserve judgment until I can visit again. Maybe the cook is having an off day or I chose the wrong entree to try

Tomato basil soup was cold and they charged me 59 cents for fountain water. I don't think so! I don't know how much they're paying for the styrofoam cup but one of us is getting ripped off.

Good southern food. Friendly and helpful staff. Eat good food $12. Don't come here if you want to eat a lot cheaper. Hey you gotta pay for good food and personalized service.
