It's a nice Oasis of civilization in the midst of all that hiking camping and natural state stuff. The restaurant is decent although the weights can be kind of long and some of the food isn't as good as it could be. The building itself and its setting is exquisite. Pretty much everything you would need inside to help you prep except for maybe sunscreen. The vistas overlooking the valley or gorgeous from the restaurant View.

The food is consistent if not spectacular and the views are extremely impressive. The service tends to be good (after a wait to get seated at busy times). They recently added some alcohol options which will please some diners. If you want the MOST local option, get a burger made from WinRock Farms Angus beef. I think the salad greens might be locally grown much of the year, too. The salad bar is small but always fresh.

Their standard of staff is ubiquitously lacking. The view from our table however, was stunning and well worth the slightly overpriced diner fair. The quality of service left some to be desired, though being allowed a lengthy period between disturbance was pleasing in such a setting. It gave us an excuse to linger to witness the Majesty of Petit Jean mountain. The quality of the food was nothing to write home about, but I would soon return simply for the view. I recommend to anyone visiting the state park.

Petit Jean State Park was wonderful but don’t waste your time at the Restaurant. The prices were very high and the food was very low quality. Definitely won’t be back.

Perfect place to visit for a family outing. Beautiful overlook and cabins to stay overnight.
