Ribs were perfectly cooked. Baked beans were real good as well. Brisket was a bit dry, and I wasn't a fan of the slaw but that's mostly due to my personal taste in slaw (I don't like mayonnaise based or potato-salad style slaw). The rolls were very generic. Really enjoyed the live music on the patio which was pretty good considering it was lunch time. I gotta say, lots of reviews talk about how this place is top-tier and Rendezvous is second tier. I would reverse it; the only thing Central does better is the actual rib cooking and the music. They are both great, but I overall enjoyed Rendezvous more.

I'm from Chicago and I came here and had a slab of ribs and 4 sides. OMG BEST RIBS EVER! They were so tender and juicy, the bone fell right out of them. The employees were really hospitable and the environment was great. Someone was playing the guitar on the patio we were eating in. It was a great experience. I just wish I could try the rest of the menu!

I have lived in Texas, and currently live in Kansas City, so I had to compare Memphis BBQ to see who really has the best :-). The sausage and smoked wings are amazing. The bologna was great, but not very smokey. The pulled pork was good and tender, but not the best flavor profile as far as smokey flavor, it needed sauce. The brisket was fatty and bland, I hoped for more smoke flavor, but I couldn’t even see a smoke ring on the meat, few at my table even wanted to eat it. The ribs were delicious and fall of the bone, but I’ve had better flavors in KC. We had fries, mac and cheese, green beans and baked beans for sides and they were all good, loved the mac! The banana pudding, OMG, I’ll be dreaming of that creamy deliciousness for a long time to come. I would go back someday, a few items were the best I’ve ever had.

The places relatively cheap to eat at and very delicious. You will not be disappointed if you could barbecue here. Am I paying and it is my favorite BBQ restaurants out of all the others in Memphis. They're sauce and meat is very consistent and they always do a great job

I frequented their original location about 10 years ago and being back in Memphis we had to go back - this time with my whole family. Steve, the manager, was super kind to my family. He persuaded me to try the dry rub ribs which were spectacular. He gave my wife advice on what they could do for our 4 Kid’s as far as kids meals went (example - they could get chicken slider instead on their slider). Also top notch for me was the potato salad. It did not disappoint. Thanks y’all!
