I'm not a big fish fan, but my GF is.... This place is pretty yummy... One disappointment was during our first couple of visits, they had a really good discount for 'happy hour' appetizers... which, since I'm not really a big fish person, made it even better.... but the next time we were in town, and went in for 'happy hour', they'd changed the pricing structure, and it wasn't as good a deal. The difference that made, was our prior visit to the area, we went 3 days in a row and ate at Lure.... After the price change, we went once, and didn't go back.... It wasn't quite as good as the previous visit, and was more expensive.... so we dined elsewhere after that. I'm sure we'll try it again next time we're in town... so hopefully it'll be better, and maybe they'll have some better 'specials'.

Tried to come in on a Friday night but due to the long wait times we decided to try another day. Came back again a few weeks later on a Saturday at around 2pm with no wait time. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Very happy we came back and gave it a shot and we'll definitely be back in the future.

It was an interesting place but nothing too special on the entree/seafood front. The appetizers were good. I loved the Lure ceviche. The drinks were strong (yas)..our entree however may have spent too long under the broiler as it was kind of dry.

For the seafood lover this place is amazing. They do offer some gluten free options but i have had problems with cross contamination that resulted in me getting sick. Be very specific with your server. Food overall is good. Lots of different options unless you don’t like seafood.

The food is always great here, and the atmosphere is nice. The worst part is probably the wait, but I guess that's what you get for eating at a successful establishment. Even so, we prefer the downtown Ventura location, if for no other reason then we associated with relaxed weekends at the beach. They do a good job of bringing the food quickly, which is appreciated after waiting 45 minutes to an hour to get a table.
