I came for the $20 prime rib dinner - it would have been worth twice as much. The meat was tender and delicious, beautifully rare. The sides were lovely, crisp-tender veg and mashed potatoes made from potatoes. Fresh horseradish on the prime rib, and a garlic bread to start that was simply the best I've ever had. A boule sliced in half, slathered with butter and fresh garlic (and maybe cream cheese? Something thick), toasted and cut in wedges. Amazing food - and surprisingly, we were one of two groups there. I expect we'll be going back, for other meals. Oh - and the meat was huge, I took about half my slice home.

One of the best eateries in Alameda! This coming from a long time patron. Love the chicken marsala and the Alameda Islander Pizza. Shout out to a great staff. BTW, try tipping in cash that way the IRS doesn’t take so much of the server’s wages during tax time☺️

I bought 4 orders to go and spent over $100.00. I asked if my orders came with bread and the waiter said they did. I bought a separate order of garlic bread. When I got home the regular bread was not in either bag and the pescatore had overcooked mussels that apparently broke off and I bit into 2 different pieces of shell which ruined my dinner.I found 2 other mussels that were also chipped and the entire order had only 2 shrimp. Really bad experience. I have eaten there at least 10 or more times but this was a very bad experience. I will call or go talk to the manager.

Always a good ambience, staff is friendly and efficient, the food is always good and the beer is cold 😉

For the price I would have hoped for a little better and the lady we had was awful at service... With few customers maybe 3 other tables at the time. She forgot to take our order we were a group of 4 sitting in the middle of the room,25 min sitting ready.... she says "Oh your food hasn't come" she had never even stoped by the table to take a drink order. Then got an order wrong and food came at different times 2 of the plates were half way done by the time the 3rd plate showed and the 4th was a bit cold. The food tasted fine just not what I had hoped for. .... haven't given them a second chance yet... I hear great things about this place... maybe it was an off day who knows.
