Saturday, March 10, we arrived at the restaurant between 5 and 5:30. Most of the tables were empty, but we were told they were reserved, so we accepted the offer to sit at the bar, and order food there. We received our drinks and the bartender told us he would be right back to get our food order. He wasn't, the tables started filling up and those orders were given priority, even though we had arrived before them. When someone finally was available , about 20 minutes later, to take our order, we were told that our food would probably be delayed because of the "full house" , even though we had arrived before them. At that point we noticed that the group of 4 at the end of the bar who had sat down much later than us, got their drinks promptly and their food arrived minutes later.... we quickly finished our drinks and left. I did complain to the hostess as we left, she said she would make up for it "next time". In my mind, whenever I have to leave a restaurant hungry due to poor service, there is no "next time". 2 stars because the food is good. Just don't go hungry and be prepared to wait.

One of the best restaurants in the East Bay. Great service, awesome bartenders with a lot of personality. The pizzas are incredible. Really excellent dough. The pictures I've seen on google don't do them justice. They also have a great dinner menu beside pizza. Great for cocktails and eating at the bar or for a casual date night.

We've been here twice now, and really enjoyed the food and service. Servers are always nice and competent, food is consistently delicious and prepared well. Both the pasta (papardelle with ragu) and vegetable sides (in winter it was Brussels sprouts, and in spring we had asparsgus with salt cured egg yolk) were perfectly made. Our Neapolitan style pizzas came with thin yet substantial and satisfactorily chewy crusts, the toppings were generous and evenly distributed, and we thoroughly enjoyed each meal here. Definitely worth repeated trips!

Great food and drinks. Do yourself a favor and sit at the bar. Amazing and knowledgeable staff.

One of our favorite 'going out for a nice dinner" places. Both the food and cocktails are excellent!
