OMG ~ hungry for "fish n' chips" ~ had heard good things about this place and approve in 5+stars !! I asked for the smaller plate and the container was FILLED with the most wonderfully flavorful, clean tasting catfish EVER!! Fries were great too!! HOT, right out of the frier ~ not a bit of grease so their frier temperature was perfect. Immediately emailed friends who live in Vallejo to eat here !! Saw chicken going out just as fast!! Sides and desserts looked wonderful too ~ lots of choices! I had 3 meals from the amount of fish given. Ask for additional tarter sauce and ketchup. So sad when they closed for renovations but now THEY ARE BACK and better than ever!!

Not all the fish is great here, but my favorite has been the fried tilapia. Crispy yet full of meat, and the seasoning on the crust is so great! I only order to go from here, because it's not exactly in the best setting, though the restaurant is pretty neat. This review was originally gonna be a 3 star, but then I remembered about 2 things: Gumbo & Sweet Potato Cake. MUST GET!!!! The medium sized gumbo is a big enough size and tons of crab in it. The sweet potato cake is from a local bakery in San Leandro (?), and is something you don't see every day outside of Vallejo and East Bay.

I love the jumbo prawns and oysters! Their food is very tasty and not greasy.

Great gumbo!! Had a sample then purchase a big bowl, the rice was boil in the bag type not good at all taste like plastic. Next time we'll just buy the gumbo and make our own 🍚

Great Fish, but it cost to much for what you get.
