Very enjoyable. Wife and I celebrated our 43rd Anniversary. We hadn't been to Nello's Place in more than 20 years. Great service and food was good like we had remembered. Nice to see things had changed much. We'll be back.

Very good homestyle Italian Food with impeccable service by wait staff. Nice wine list and great dessert. Nice for semi-fine dining but no dress code, all patrons welcome.

Incredible service. Food is beyond exceptional. Be sure to call a few days ahead for reservations. You will receive antipasto , salad , bread and then your maim course. I always have to take some home, you get a lot of Food! Delicious pasta, perfectly prepared cut meats, and a fantastic wine list. Perfect for special occasions. If going for lunch be sure to check out their specials that are less spendy.

The food was delicious as usual, when we first walked in the host was not real friendly but our waiter was very nice. They actually still give the lady a flower at the end of the dinner. We don't come often but we enjoy when we do.

This might be considered a "high-end", quality restaurant here in Redding, but in a bigger, more sophisticated city Nello's would be just another overpriced, mediocre phsedo Italian restaurant. I went there with two of my sons, their wives and a friend of theirs for a birthday celebration. Our waiter was a millennial and acted as if he was doing us a favor by waiting on us. Whenever I thanked him for doing something that was a part of his job he would say, "No problem." I know it's not a problem, it's your job! A true professional waiter would say something like, "My pleasure" or just "you're welcome". I ordered a Bloody Mary for starters and it was just okay, a little thin and no depth to it. My entree came with sauteed shrimp, veal and scallops. The shrimp (3) were small for an entree, the breaded veal was thin, tough, and soggy while the scallops were cut in half and then covered in cheese. For over $30 (my total share of the bill was $75 including tip) I expected better. I have dined at many fine Italian restaurants throughout the country and, in my opinion, this is not one of them.
