Wow! What a great experience it was to dine here! My boyfriend took us here for a dinner on my birthday. I love the upscale rustic vibe- it's perfect for a Humboldt County establishment. The ambience was warm and welcoming- not too noisy not too quiet. The staff was friendly and attentive. There's separate bar seating so you can just enjoy one of their signature whisky cocktails (I tried a couple different ones and they were both yummy). But dinner really stole the show. I had an amazing crusted duck breast with forbidden rice, barley pilaf and a cherry mole sauce. My boyfriend had a steak plate. We both loved our food, our drinks and our service. Very impressed!

Was bummed we couldn't get the steak for two but we had the prime rib and the pork chop and loved it. The cocktails are great. We both got a side of veggies and mushroom risotto. Probably could have split sides. Also got the smores dessert but didn't like the texture and a bit too sweet. Will be back, love how they incorporated the lighting !

Like most fancy restaurant in humboldt, this restaurant has 5 star prices, but presents 3 star food. First the setup of the restaurant is gorgeous, except for the half of the restaurant in the hallway, which looks like a hallway. The bar is also gorgeous, I ordered a mixed drink but unfortunately it tasted highly alcoholic and not much like anything else. That leaves the food. I don't eat red meat so I had about 2 options, but didn't want to pay 34$ for a salmon. The sides look interesting and the waitress offer that I just get two sides. I ordered the risotto and the mac and cheese, and they were fantastic! About 8 $ each and they were great. My boyfriend decided to get a steak and was very disappointed. The steaks come with no sides so you just get meat on a plate, not even a garnish. The steaks are upwards of 30$ and the sides are 5+$ So that's about 40$ for an alright steak. Overall the restaurant is nice, and the food okay but they price is not so if you want great food worth 40$ I recommend somewhere else.

Amazing food. The best steak I have ever had in my life! The appetizers are delicious. The drinks? To die for. Get Lost in the Woods for something sweet and salty. And dont forget dessert!

The food was deliscous but the duck fries our party could live without. Great atmosphere very good staff also, I highly recommend the lava cake very rich though. This place was definitely a go back to place.
