Atmosphere is fun and hip lots of seating for the size of the space. Onion rings were battered with a flour based fried chicken batter which was tasty but fell off the onions. Burger was very lean and under seasoned. I don't experience this often but veggie toppings were directly out of the fridge so it made the burger cold. The fries are just like In N Out fries with no salt. The curly fries we under seasoned too. The shake was just ice cream and milk which I don't really like as it diluted the strawberry flavor. The bun was dry, the salmon filet was fresh but under seasoned, the topping to bun ratio was totally off. They should serve it with coleslaw or something on top so it’s juicer. Overall kinda dry, boring, and under seasoned.

Neat little burger spot just behind the Arcata Co-Op. They have a myriad of options outside of the traditional burger and common sides that come with such fare. I had their basic burger with a side salad. It was a decent burger, but I’m about to pick some nits: the burger and bun was warm and the tomato was too COLD. There was also too much lettuce and not enough of their house sauce. Also...they use the wrong pickles (always use dill, not sweet). The build of the burger was slightly off. On the positive side, the meat was cooked to the temperature I had requested (medium rare) and the lemonade was a treat. I think in their first month of opening they have some things to iron out, yet, overall a good start.

A little disappointed. For being called Burger Joint, the burger was the biggest let down of the meal. The shake I ordered was great, the fries were addicting, and the salad (which I didn't order but received anyways) I had no problems with. I ordered a classic burger with bacon and blue cheese. The ingredients all had a nice flavor, clearly pretty fresh and/or locally sourced. But the patty was fairly small, the buns much too large, and a seriously laughable amount of cheese in the burger. The guys in the kitchen were clearly working hard, but I had trouble with the ones working the floor. It seems like they only existed in states of either perpetual confusion or boredom. Give them a water pitcher or something to do. After taking my order, they just stared at the wall until someone got up so they could bus that table. No initiative to prebus or check on customers at all. I'll give it another try in a month or so, but I wouldn't ever recommend it to anyone over Star's at this point.

Awesome burgers! Have selection of regular beef, grilled or fried chicken, veggie patty and portabella mushroom. Also can customize your burger!
