This place is great. Our first time here but definitely not our last. The pizza was very tasty and the slices were huge. A friend from work has been encouraging me to go here for years. I'm glad a I did. Although the food is great the atmosphere is very friendly and the real star of the show is Sam the owner. A really nice guy. Treated my family very well. It was nice to finally meet the man my friend has spoken about for years. If you go you will find all the staff is great but be sure to say hello to Sam. We will most definitely be back next time we are in town. Bring your appetite because the portions are huge. I found the price to be very reasonable given the quality and volume of food. The large pizza comes standard with four toppings. If you are a garlic fan try the fresh garlic it was wonderful on the pizza.

Turns out the owner lived here in San Diego for a long while. Got to watch him throw a giant pizza crust into the air. Really nice guy, and one of the only places to eat in Pismo at 9pm on a Saturday night in the off-season (October thru March.) We wanted ricotta on our pue, but he said the locals never ordered it, so he quit carrying. I guess there's no Italians in Pismo. We ordered pepperoni, jalapeno and pineapple. Was good, but could have been a little thinner crust for me. Stop in and say hello, and order a pie!

Sam's usually has good food. Went in for the lunch special. ..slice of pizza, salad and soda for $8.00. The salad was really good. It had iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, green olive and black olives with red onion and a side of ranch. The salad was the star of this meal but the pizza slice looked like it had been sitting awhile and was a little soggy. Like I said, they usually have good pizza , but quality control was lacking today.

The sauce!!! Fresh ingredients. Great giant 30 inch pie feeds a crowd. Good leftover! Great meatball sandwich. Will be back next time I'm in the Grover Beach Area.

Some times people who support cognitive dissonance and racism make damn good pizza.
