DO NOT COME HERE FOR DINNER!. If I can give this place negative stars I would. It had been a couple of years since I had frequented this restaurant. This restaurant used to be great but there was a change in ownership and the new owners are evil swindlers. We came in for my birthday dinner in October with a party of 6. A self identified "manager" came out to take our orders. We ordered one order of abalone because we just wanted a taste of this delicacy. He pushed us to order 2 orders of abalone but we insisted that we just wanted to try one order. Despite our clear instructions, the restaurant brought us a single plate of abalone but later charged us for 2 orders without our permission. What is even more ridiculous is that we ordered a 5lb (priced per lb)of live lobster dish and they never showed us the live lobster before it was cooked, which is what other decent Chinese restaurants would normally do. When the lobster dish came out, the lobster was clearly tiny and weighed at most 3lbs. Yet they charged us for 5 1/2lbs. We had requested that they cook this dish using their "house style", the lobster dish came out completely inedible. I believe the lobster was not even live as it tasted completely mealy. The service was completely disgusting and laughable. We brought wine for my dinner. I had called the day before and were advised by the staff that the corkage fee would be $25. This was confirmed in person on the day of the party. When the bill came, we were charged $30 for corkage. It's not about the $5 but it's about the principle and the owner's lack of honesty. Since it was my birthday, I paid the bill for my 5 Chinese friends as it is customary to treat your friends on one's birthday in China. This dinner was a disaster. The food was horrible, the service was beyond bad, and I was RIPPED off. Since I had guests with me, I could not fight to "safe face" which is maybe why I was completely taken advantage of. I think this restaurant is an embarrassment to the Chinese community. Note, it turns out that the "manager" who did this to us is actually the owner. Then he proudly smirked at us before we left the restaurant. This reminded me of having a meal in Communist China in 1984. The high ceiling is NOT worth it!

Good Dim Dum place with all the basic plus a few slightly hard to get items like pearl shrimp and 流沙奶黃包. Their lobster noodles and Peking Duck were pretty delicious. A friend took us there for a reunion lunch, we were able to reserve a table for 15 at 11:30 on a Sunday and stayed until 2:30.

Good food. Served hot and right when you are seated. Kept our drinks full.
