The food here is amazing! The staff is okay, some of them are super nice and others avoid eye contact with you. When it gets busy and customers need napkins or more soup they are busy talking to each other by the register. Besides that the place has a nice atmosphere, the food is great, and their drinks are pretty good too. They have restrooms. Usually my boyfriend and I end up spending about $20-$25.

It was my first visit. Good food for a fair price but the customer service was great. Very friendly and attentive. Good for small crowd and quick bite. I went there in the morning when they opened 11am, otherwise the wait would be very long due to their location being too small. I recommend trying it. They also have veggie option.

If I could rate this place on food alone, I would give it a 4 or 5, but let me say just one thing -- not once were we asked how we are doing or what we need. In fact, we've been done eating for 10 minutes now, and nobody has come to ask if we're done or if we want the check. I wouldn't be so angry if all 5 employees weren't just standing behind the counter together laughing. There's at least 3 of them at all times goofing around or eating there. But in the last 50 minutes, each table on our side of the restaurant has been tended to at least 3 times. No, they didn't call for help, I actually heard the employee ask them how they were doing or what they needed. Once, an employee looked over to me, only to swing a hard right and ask the customer closest to her if he needed something. Call me high maintenance, but I just want to be treated like the other customers. On another note, the Boiling Point in San Mateo is way more professional than this place.

Loud music, low lighting interior, with busy servers. Lunch is decently priced and comes with a cup of tea. I was quickly seated (you need to register electronically at the door) as the restaurant was pretty empty at 2:00PM in the afternoon. They had recommend me their popular hot pot - "Beef" hot pot. It came with friend skin tofu, fish cakes, tomatoes, soft tofu, corn, enoki, napa cabbage, imitation crab, meat ball, beef, and top with cilantro and green onions.

As expected, there was a wait before we were seated. They do have a electronic queue, but you do need to be present with the paper receipt at the time your group is called. The food was delicious!! I got the lamb hotpot with noodles, medium spice! (The only thing I didn't like about it was the taro slice. Strangely very dry in a hotpot.) It makes for a filling meal, especially as they come to add more broth to your pot. Things of note: - For some reason the floor was wet and slippery. I pointed it out, and they pulled out a yellow "caution: wet floor" sign. I slipped a couple of times, though without falling. - Service was very slow. It's strange that they are not more efficient with turnover. We sat with our empty pots for several minutes before we could flag someone down and ask for our check. Overall, I would come again. But with a group of friends that I really like, so I can tolerate the waits and enjoy good food together.
