Fun spot and GREAT food. Honestly, the food makes the restaurant a 6/5 but the staff was really slow with everything which is why I gave a 5/5. That and Google won't give 6/5. But the place was a fun vibe and the food was incredible. Just expect to be there a while. Additionally, if you're into artisanal beers, this is the perfect place for you.

Really delicate well done pastrami but very much emphasizing on the preparation rather than taste. You'll appreciate how the fat renders richly in the meat but in terms of flavor it is quite sedate. No worries.. a restrained smattering of house mustard will perk it right up. I was early and in need of instant gratification so ordered up the bread pudding for myself.. do yourself a favor and do the same. Cost basis: $18 for a full pastrami cut in halves for you along with a dill pickle: $6 for instant gratification Oh and loud place.. not quite somewhere for a first meetup or for homework although there are 2 tables outside

Go-to place for Belgian-style burgers and pastrami. They have great selection of Belgian beer, both the real thing and American imitation. The San Carlos location (the original) has a better atmosphere. Most seating is indoors, but they have limited seating out front as well.

Great place for comfort food and a solid stout to match. Ordered a Philly cheese steak, garlic fries for side, bread-pudding, and a Rasputin and Breakfast stout. Fries were good, even better coupled with the sauce that comes with the Philly cheese steak. Only deficiency is that some fries on the outer side of the dish were noticably cold and hard. The Philly cheese steak was absolutely bomb though. It was piping hot in the center, tasted amazing with the sauce drizzled over the top. Portion size was good, just enough till I'm at a near full capacity, and savory enough to satisfy my taste buds. The bread pudding here is absolutely amazing. Came out right as I finished my cheese steak. It had a side of whipped cream and caramel sauce. Bread pudding does the impossible and makes bread crust desirable. Since it's hot, your fork will dig right through it; just trying to pull it apart will have it slowly digging through your fork from the force of it's in weight. Cannot emphasize how delicious it is to have a light spread of whipped cream on the crust top and a but if caramel at the bottom. This is a helluva guilty pleasure. They have Breakfast stout on tap, taste-wise it's like roasted coffee and oatmeal with the depth of hop.

The Brie Burger was pretty tasty and they had a great selection of drink. The price wasn't too bad either. A great spot to hit up on a Sunday evening. No crowd at that time, so we got everything really quickly.
