Max's is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in Azusa and the surrounding cities. The next best Mexican restaurant is the Max's in Monrovia. Chips and salsa are legendary. They make their own guacamole and sour cream. Every dish will leave you wanting to come back for more. The wait staff are all warm and friendly and extremely attentive even at their busiest.

The owner makes this place! Very personable and really tries to greet and converse with every guest. I rated it three stars for one reason. Everything is salty. The guacamole was salty. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was salty. The portions are unbelievable. You really get a lot of food for the money. If you like salty food, this is the place. Maybe it's just me. I'd recommend.

I came here to dine in and have a burrito.. The burrito was a good filling size. It tasted wonderful and I loved the way they did the burrito. It was so good and it got me full. Lovely waitress and waiters. I highly recommend for some good Mexican food

Service was a little slow. We had a decent size party and kept having to ask other servers/people for our stuff. Had to ask for refills on drinks and chips. Got our order taken at a good pace, but it took forever to get our food and by the time we received it everything was cold.

Food is good. Even their lunch portions are at considerable size. Tasted very good but being a Mexican eatery, food was very spicy. Good thing I like spicy food. If you don't, better check with the server, before you order. Servers are very friendly and as expected, bilingual. The only thing I might suggest this place is the dude walking around and breaking into sudden and very loud singing frenzy. He did this to the next table and scared the bejesus out of me. He is LOUD. nearly dropped my drink.
