My family was driving back from Sequoia National Park and we stopped at this little Cuban place for lunch, and it was a great surprise. The good was just delicious and authentic as it can get for Cuban food. Though it took a bit long for the food to come out, it was worth it. The garlic chicken was right on, though I prefer more garlic, as I love anything garlic. The garlic bread appetizers were divine. I must cine back to try to l the Cuban sandwiches next time around as everyone was ordering them with sweet potatoes fries. Yum!

RUDE manager. Went to have lunch with my son and his friend. They gave us the table by the bathrooms. I politely asked to be moved to another table as we were able to smell the air freshener/bad smell from the bathroom. We were denied because we were only 3 for lunch and they only had 3 booths (unoccupied) for more than 5 people. I explained to the manager the reason for getting a different table and she refused to move us, basically her attitude was; too bad...you seat here or you leave. I told her then we were leaving and her answer was "you will be the one missing out". Really?...how arrogant..since when the customer is the one missing out...? There are plenty of other places to eat...but they lost the customers.....!!!

Our experience started really badly. The person who greeted us was rude and unwilling to assist us. I was with a party of five. We requested a specific table and were told it was for six or more people and we could not have it. We decided to stay despite the horrendous customer service. The food is delicious! The flavors And textures are perfect. The portions are huge! Everyone in my group was very pleased with their choices. We all agreed this is a great place for lunch.

This is the best Cuban torta in town. And really good price. Excellent family owned business. All the food is good. Appetizers, sides, entrees are all good!

This was such an unexpected surprise to find in Bakersfield! This restaurant is so tiny (54 or 58 person capacity), but charming and cozy. The staff are incredibly warm and friendly and I appreciate that so much. The great tasting food on top of the friendly service makes it a place I would return to the next time I am in Bakersfield. I think the pollo ajillo (crispy garlic chicken thigh served with black beans, rice, and plantains) is amazing. The chicken was cooked to perfection and was garnished with a citrus-garlic mixture on top that was delectable. Try this place...you couldn't possibly be disappointed.
