I love this place! It's just like stepping back in time to a Diner from the 70s. Everything I've ever eaten here was excellent and very generous portions. The place is always bustling and you see old and young alike enjoying their food. They have almost everything you can think of on the menu as well. My favorite by far is the chef salad and there's so much food that you can't actually eat it all. The chef salad in this case is not your typical where you would have turkey and ham but instead it has fresh turkey and Bay shrimp which is a departure from your typical chef salad. And it's delicious! You also get an entire loaf of sourdough bread if you want or a muffin as a side. And that's just one of the wonderful meals they have! My one- point would be that it's hard to find parking and you most often have to park on the street but I'm okay with that because there are a lot of elderly that do need to be close to the door. A great place! Highly recommended definitely go here!

The best turkey dinner home style. Something for everyone on the menu. Service is friendly, tempo is relaxed. Limited dessert menu though but I'm usually so full after dinner it doesn't matter...servings are generous. Full bar and eating in the lounge is always fun with Tony and Lupe!

If you want quintessential American food then this is the place you want to go. Their eggs and hash browns are excellent, unfortunately, their coffee is just meh, but they keep the refills coming. I like the staff because they're always friendly and their service is quick. One issue I've noticed is that parking can be a challenge, get here early or during off hours.

Always love eating here. Great staff and great food. Home cooked classics and lots of them. Turkey dinner is amazing, but after a dozen trips, try the other items. They are delicious too!!

As I do my best to visit many of LA's historic restaurants, today my family and I visited Burbank's Tallyrand! A+ for the name right off the bat as it even sounds old school. This is a diner-like atmosphere that is pretty large with two sections of the dining room and a bar area along with a coffee counter. My wife and I each enjoyed the turkey dinner. My son's mac and cheese was Kraft right out of the box, which was kind of disappointing when you think I spent over $6 for something you can get 4 boxes of for $1. But he enjoyed it. The wait staff was very friendly. As I said, the ambience was diner like but they had some old school touches that I enjoyed: The old school brick wall, the lightening fixtures, the old school numbers that tell the staff when the orders are ready (which isn't used much anymore, but still there and it works). I'd say this is a very solid place. It didn't blow my mind in any way, but we had avery enjoyable time. I'd come back.
