Love the chicken it is soooo good

Heartbreaking that this place is closing on the 31st of Dec after being in business for 42 years. Great chicken, shrimp, everything! Good news, they sold to the Pizza Chalet in Yucaipa. The owner of Johnnie's will be traing them for 3 months. You can still get your chicken fix!

Was the best chicken around. Now closed. The chicken will be served at a pizza place in Yucaipa- same recipes.

You can not do better than Johnnie's Broasted chicken. I have stopped in every time I have been in the area. IMHO it beats all of the rest of the fried chicken dealers. Great coleslaw and fried pickles.

I found Johnnie's through the help of yelp and I enjoy their food. Broasted chicken can't really go wrong, especially with cold slaw. The chicken is crispy and juicy, especially if eaten right after it's been brought out. The green cold slaw is pretty good. I suggest you order a la carte, and not get the family menu because the family meal "deal" is so unnecessary and expensive. The food here is really expensive, I mean I can't compare the huge pieces of broasted chicken with KFC, but the price difference almost makes it worth going to KFC. It is a shame because if it was a little cheaper I would come back so much more often.
