It's a pretty cool bar. A chill place to hang out and play pool. The drinks are reasonably priced too.

I was visiting with my family for my 40th birthday. We were having a good time at Susies Bar when all of a sudden the owner starts yelling at patrons, turns off the music and turns on the lights. He tells everyone to get the F out of his bar. So stupid. He closed his bar and thru money away. Not sure why it was closed early. Someone made him mad and the owner ened ended up taking it out on the entire crowd

TL;DR. Bartender attempted to overcharge me for her friends drinks and got an attitude when I didn't want to pay for two extra drinks. Avoid Susie's. My wife and I decided to to stop in here because reviews and pictures made it seem like the closest thing to a "locals bar" Calistoga had to offer and we like drinking with the locals. Inside is clean but seems to have an identity crisis between a country bar and sports bar but that's no big deal. The bartender (40, female, brunette)only seemed interested in serving her friends from the start. That's nothing new for us and typically as long as we have drinks in front of us we don't mind. I had two beers and attempted to order a third IPA but they were out of it and the bartender tried to talk me into a fruity wheat beer instead. My wife had one single tall Bullet and diet. Here is where the fun starts. We ask to cash out and the bartender asks if I want it on my card, I said "yes." She then brings me a receipt for two IPAs, a cider, and two Bullets. This is two drinks more than we received or wanted. She then attempted to avoid eye contact for 5 minutes while serving other customers until I flagged her down. I explained that the cider and second bullet shouldn't be on there because we didn't have them and she just looked at us like we were crazy. She finally agreed to fix it and only took off the cider and attempted to serve me the receipt again with the two Bullets still on there. I refused it again because it was wrong and her attitude sky rocketed. She was visibly unhappy that she had been caught attempting to overcharge customers. I would say avoid Susie's while in Calistoga unless you like paying for the bartender's friends drinks.
