Beautiful location in the heart of the Napa valley and next to the Beringer winery, one of the oldest in California.

Dined at Acacia House our last night staying at Las Alcobas, and have to say it was truly a unique dining experience. Highlights: 1. The chips and dip with smoked trout and caviar was to die for, I almost licked the plate. The foam margarita was also very good. 2. We had the lamb tartare and the sea bass. Both were phenomenal. My wife originally ordered the steak and sent it back because it was very tough. The restaurant recommended the bass. 3. No corkage fee on the first bottle for guests of Las Alcobas In my opinion the portions to price were a bit high, but it's a very high end part of Napa, s that's to be expected. If we are back in the area, even if we aren't staying at the property, we will be back!

Very nice addition to St Helena, on par with Goose and Gander but in much more upscale setting. I've eaten by myself so only tried the lamb tartar and a pasta dish, both were very good. Clear departure from Incanto or Cockscomb, much more mainstream, reminded me of Rich Table.
