Unique selection of foods and tastes! Looking for something different and new - this is the place to check out! They have lunch specials, too. I've greatly enjoyed everything I've bought here. Occasionally they will even have gator!

Roux Dat is a place that I am upset about. Upset because in my years in Santa Cruz, no one told me about it! As a huge fan of cajun cuisine this place hits all the right buttons. Of particular enjoyment for me is the Fried Green Tomato Po'Boy. What a wonderful discovery with just the right blend of savory, tang, and that spark of spice. It will leave you looking for beads to throw. Couple with their inhouse lemonade and you've got a lunch that truly satisfies. And best of all you can get all this as their lunch special price that puts to shame the other deals in Capitola. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of the fact that you now know about Roux Dat and don't make my mistake and wait too long to go there!

I had a Groupon to try this place out. I would say it's the best Cajun food I've had in the area, at a great price point ~$11 a plate. I recommend the hush puppies and fried green tomatoes!

Perfect for rainy days! Hearty meals but not heavy.

This place is excellent! The food is always tasty, from the Po’Boys to the Gumbo and all the sides. All the fried items maintain their crispness far longer than they have any right to! Try it, you won’t regret it!
