Great sushi and seafood plates. Good was fresh and service was friendly. Even the hostess came to check on our table which I thought was excellent. Highly recommended!

Fabulous sushi. Robert is so passionate, committed to excellence, attention to the finest detail, matching the sushi, seasoning and garnish to enhance and accentuate, creating a wonderful culinary experience. The entire staff is extremely friendly and efficient. Will make sure that this the first stop whenever in the area. Five stars +++.

Located in a haunted building in downtown Carlsbad, this place has everything. Knott's Berry Farm effects, pickled daikon, Rob Lowe as a sushi chef, and that hot Japanese singer from Wayne's World, Tia Carre. Sit at the sushi bar and ask Rob what's cooking hot stuff. Ask him to spice things up for you. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Ignore the curt sushi chef who's obviously ready to go to work at Nobu. After all, its much more tantalizing to watch Rob desecrate an avocado. Skip the cocktails as the cocktailer was lite on the alcohol. Be prepared for The Brady Bunch to show up as it happens quite frequently in Carlsbad. I enjoyed the kama which came with two large delicious pieces of salmon, albeit heavy with bone. This was an $8 happy hour special. I also enjoyed aji, jumbo Maine scallop, and a yellowtail handroll, all excellent. I'm not sure why there are not more guests here except that the bathroom wreeks of sewage. Ughhh!!! It smells like a porta-potty. But I still love the haunted atmosphere. Rob takes the edge off too.
