We stopped for a quick meal around lunch time, and the experience was far from the best but also far from the worst. The environment is physically comfortable, but the music was very loud and upbeat, which sort of clashed with the type of atmosphere I prefer at a sushi place. I mean, I like The Chainsmokers as much as the next twenty-something girl but heavy bass isn't within the niche that sushi has going for it. The place wasn't busy, so there was just one waitress. She was polite and pleasant to interact with, but lacked professionalism. She spilled some of my drink on the floor and just left it there rather than wiping it up. She also revisited our table a few times but never took away our empty dishes despite their placement like, real close to the edge of the table - that placement that says, "Hey, staff member! Please take us away as we clearly no longer have food on us and thus have become entirely worthless to the customer." Anyways, I'm an out of town visitor, so maybe I would feel differently if I had visited as someone who was around the area all the time. I wouldn't return, personally, unless I was really craving sushi and every other sushi establishment in Carlsbad all suddenly closed and I had literally no other option.

I show up religiously several times a week for their amazing poke bowls. Freshest and most delicious poke I've ever had, and to top it off, the most affordable as well. The team here are true artisans, and the pride they take in their work comes through in the quality of the food.

It's ok. I was highly anticipating to eat here, and I came out not totally impressed. Highly priced cafeteria style sushi. But it seems to work. They're busy everyday for lunch.

The best and most authentic poke in San Diego. Let places are popping up as poke becomes the fad but this place has been here well before all of that. Get there early as they only make a certain amount with that day's fresh catch.

Fresh and delicious. Cash only. Sushi fans will not be disappointed.
