I don’t usually write reviews but my husband and I had a wonderful dining experience. The food was great and the service was excellent. They gave samples which I thought was perfect since it was our first time eating there. My husband chatted with the owner. I love the fact that it’s a family ran business. I had the gumbo and my husband had the wings, fish, and jambalaya. Everything was good. I’m already thinking about what I’ll have on my next visit.

Wow.. I'm looking at the under 5 star reviews and wondering if they ate at the same place I did! Awesome food followed by excellent customer service. I had catfish and red beans and rice on Sunday, it's only Tuesday and I'm craving it again! Portions are somewhat small but due to the way it's prepared its heavy and filling The portion did seem small to the eye, but I was unable to finish it. Keep doing what your doing DARROW'S and don't be discouraged by folks that have never had southern bayou food, and are expecting that California fish Market, u buy we fry flavor. Check us out on Facebook 2018 La's best places to eat. DARROW'S will be one of them

I love places where the owner is present. The owner at this wonderful establishment made me and my party feel special and like family. He remembers us by name and displays great customer service. I recommend anyone who wants a quick bite, laughter and good conversation to visit.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Brisket absolutely MELTS in your mouth. I had a brisket and shrimp po boy and the shrimp were HUGE. Next time I'm after the gumbo file. Had a sample of the broth and it was delicious. Glad I live (and work) close by.
