Our family has been going to the Cerritos Pinoy Pinay since you opened in 1992. We have always enjoyed the food, employees and atmosphere. I also buy take-out several times a month. Yesterday, I bought takeout (about $30.00) and used my Visa Credit Card as I always do and was told that there would be a $1.00 upcharge for using the Credit Card. What is that all about! I can understand if you wouldn't take a Credit Card if under $10.00 or $12.00, but for a purchase over that amount is not right. That is the first time I have ever been charged extra for using my Credit Card in ANY restaurant. This is the electronic age and use of the Credit Card is supposed to be a convenience for the customer. I don't know what fee you pay Visa/Mastercard for CC transactions, but I would guess it is 3% or less. If my purchase was about $15.00 - $20.00 (which it usually is) then the $1.00 upcharge would amount to a 5% - 7% upcharge. Are you trying to make a profit on the use of Credit Cards? It would seem to me that you would just include your CC transaction costs in your menu prices (like all restaurants do, and I assume you have done in the past also) and not aggravate customers with this $1.00 Fee! You see, it is as much the principal as it is the extra cost! Not Happy Customer!!
