We landed here after looking for a breakfast spot close to Fredericka Manor, where we could take my folks. We came during a lull, and were seated right away at a nice big table in front of the window. We ordered an array of items given there were five of us -- chicken/fried steak and eggs, Texas scramble, banana walnut pancakes and a couple of deluxe breakfasts. The food was really good... I mean, I know it is breakfast BUT the chicken fried steak was a huge hit (I took a bite and it was DELISH) as well as the fresh pancakes. The menu states they prepare their batter fresh every day. It is totally true. As a pancake aficionado (among other things) they were fluffy, and the right amount of sweetness. My Mom got the banana/walnut pancakes and she literally ate 3/4 of them and she eats pretty light. It definitely looked like a lot of regulars like this joint, I can totally see why. 4 stars for the service, the pancakes and that amazing chicken fried steak!

My family has been coming here for years! Used to be called Jimmy's. Portions are huge and they'll definitely fill up your tank. Friendly and attentive staff. Clean bathrooms (important!) Also, this place is HUUUUUUGE!!! Also make sure to say hello to the most interesting man in the world on your visit there.

Great breakfast and home style food. Big potions. Very friendly staff. Nice Window area for a large group. Not open for dinner

'Sunset By The Park' is flattering. Maybe 'Smog By The Alley' would be more appropriate. If you went to a thrift store, bought some curtains from the 1920s then used them to cover the booth seats, you would be on your way to decorating this tired spot. Sausages looked like burnt fingers & there wasn't a heartbeat between all 4 waitresses. As the hideous Muzak played, I felt like crying as I dined.

Totally reminiscent of a mom and pop kind of place. The service was great, the food was great and the price didn't blow you at like some California eateries. It was clean. The restrooms smelled nice. I would go here again any day.
