Visited for the first time last night. Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices in looking at the menu. Fresh chips with great salsa. I ordered apparently one of the place's famous dishes.....one, the waiter said, they were famous for.......The Mole Poblano........described as a boneless chicken breast simmered in an extraordinary recipe (a Grandma Teresita's special!) of assorted ingredients & spices, including chocolate. Wow, I thought, something different than I have had at other Mexican outfits. Spent $15.95 for some white meat chicken, all chopped up into small chunks, covered in a basic mole sauce, with basic rice and beans. Nothing much there to get excited about. My wife's Paulo Salad was a warm salad, not mentioned on the menu, which was salty and mostly bell peppers. Probably won't be back.

Good food. The waitress was attentive and very pleasant. I aim looking forward to going back.

The best chicken tortilla soup I’ve ever had. I visited Pomona for college tours and my friend took me here my first night. In the next three days, I returned four times. Great chips and salsa, and tasty steak fajitas. The service was great and I would highly recommend. I was born in Denver and also lived in Atlanta for 12 years so I know good Mexican. This place will not disappoint.

It gets the job done and it's one of the few Mexican places in Claremont. The bar here is pretty open during weekdays around lunch hour, and the ambiance works well for the relatively quiet town that Claremont is. I was promptly seated the last time I came here for lunch. Sat at the bar, ordered chili verde, which at the time of this review is described on their website as "Tender chunks of deep fried pork cookedin a spicy green chile sauce". Decent price point for Claremont. Dish came out, was good, unfortunately I did not take pictures so I have nothing visual to share with this review. However I do recall the dish coming with two small corn tortillas (there was a choice of corn or flour and I went with corn), as well as refried beans and I think rice. Portion size is decent, I was full and didn't even finish everything on the plate. Not sure if business has WiFi. May return to Casa Moreno in the near future.
